Using WiFi with your mag set top box is a easy and convenient way to watch great IPTV without having a cable running across your living room to your internet router.
Setting up the wifi is easy and straight forward.
Follow the guide below and you will be watching in no time.
If your mag set top box has no internet connection you will see a screen that says
“Page Loading Error” across the top in bold red writing.
If you have a compatible wifi dongle (Compatible list here) (We also provide a compatible dongle, click here to go to our store) you can fix this problem by making your way down to system settings and pressing “OK”.
Next click on network,
then make your way down to wireless and click on it,
Next you have three options:
- Auto(DHCP) – gets an IP and DNS address room your router.
- Auto(DHCP), Manual DNS – Gets an IP address from your router but you need to put in a dans server
- Manual – Set IP and DNS settings yourself.
Most people will choose Auto(DHCP), this is the easiest option. If you know about DNS servers and IP address settings choose one of the other two. Otherwise let the router do all of the hard work.
Next you will see a list of all available wifi networks in your house. Choose yours and click “OK”
At the bottom you will see “Key or Passphrase” make you way down to that and press the “KB” (Keyboard) button on your remote control and type in your WiFi password.
Press the “KB” button again once you have put in your password and press “OK” to save
Within a minute your box will talk to your router and be assigned an IP address and you should have internet access. Exit system settings by pressing exit or the house button.
You should be back to the page that had “Page Loading Error” across the top, only now you should see “internet enabled” in the top right, and an IP address under the Wifi section on the right hand side of the screen. If you do, you have set up the mag set top box using wifi correctly. Click on “Try again” to load the server and begin watching your favourite programs.
