The dreaded “Page Loading Error” We have all seen it at least once. This message usually means your Mag box is not receiving internet access. It can appear if the server you are subscribed to is down. But usually the problem is local on your network. The first thing you need to do, is make sure your router is powered up and has internet access. Check you have access by using a PC, laptop or smartphone. And search google for something. If your results come up, your router is working properly.
Does your Set top Box have an IP address? On the right hand side of your ‘page loading error’ message screen, under the connection type you are using (Ethernet or WiFi), you should have an IP address. If you do not have an IP address on your screen then your router does not know you have a box connected to it and can’t give internet access without one.
If you are using an ethernet cable, Has the cable been unplugged? Is it pushed into your box and router correctly? If the green and orange lights on the back of the router are on, or flashing then the cable is connected between the router and box correctly. If not, you need to check the connections.
If you are using Wifi, Is the WiFi adapter you are using compatible with the Mag set top boxes? Not every Wifi dongle is. Find a list of compatible adapters here. Have you set up the Wifi Connection Correctly? Read our post on how to set up a Wifi connection on Mag set top boxes here
In the top right hand side you will see a section that says “internet”,This needs to say “Available” in white afterwards. If it says “Not Available” in red, your box is not connected to the internet and you need to check the options above. Make sure you have internet access from the router and your box has an IP address. Once you have fixed the internet connection problem and the internet section is enabled, you can click on “Try again” to load up the IPTV server portal.
